Terms of Service

Last updated 17 July 2026

These terms govern your use of CloudBox, a UK-based cloud storage, backup and file-transfer service operated by Octrax Holdings Limited ("CloudBox", "we", "us"). By using CloudBox you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

CloudBox lets you send files, store and sync them in a private encrypted drive, and add off-site backup. We may improve, change or discontinue features over time; where a change is material we will give reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 16 and provide accurate details. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. We recommend keeping two-factor authentication enabled (it is on by default). Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use CloudBox lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not use the service to store or share illegal, infringing or harmful content, to send spam, or to attempt to break its security or limits.

4. Free "Send" tier

Free transfers are limited (currently up to 2 GB per transfer, links valid for 3 days, with a fair per-day limit). We may change these limits, and we may remove transfers that breach these terms.

5. Plans & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring monthly or annual basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.

6. Your content

You keep all rights in the files you upload. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, encrypt, transmit and back up your content so we can provide the service. You are responsible for having the right to store and share your content.

7. Encryption and recovery

Free transfers are zero-knowledge and drive data is encrypted. Because we design the service so we cannot read your encrypted content, we cannot recover files if you lose your key, link or password. Please keep them safe.

8. Availability

We work to keep CloudBox available and reliable but provide it "as is" without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free service. We may carry out maintenance and will try to minimise disruption.

9. Suspension & termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, that pose a security or legal risk, or where required by law. On termination we will delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, CloudBox is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own copies, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We strongly recommend keeping independent backups of important files.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: hello@cloudbox.biz.
